Carlo Prater Becomes 13th Fighter to Win UFC Fight Without Landing a Strike
Carlo Prater was victorious against Erick Silva, although he did very little to earn it. Prater won by disqualification due to strikes to the back of the head, landing zero total strikes in the process. This makes him the 13th UFC fighter in the modern era to win without hitting his opponent at all. All but two of those wins were by submission. The one other than Prater belongs to Daren Elkins, who won by TKO when Duane Ludwig injured his ankle and couldn't continue. The fighter who fought the longest fight and won without landing a strike? That would be Matt Hughes in his first fight against Frank Trigg at UFC 45, lasting 3:54.
